Day 01 : Guwahati - Kaziranga National Park
Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, followed by a scenic drive through the plains of Assam to Kaziranga, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its population of one-horned rhinoceroses and rich wildlife. Enroute, visit Maha Mrityunjay Temple, home to one of the tallest Shiva lingams, offering a peaceful spiritual halt. On arrival, check in to your hotel and relax amidst the natural surroundings. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Day 02 : Kaziranga National Park
Early morning, head out for an exciting safari in Kaziranga National Park, famous for its diverse ecosystem of tall elephant grass, marshlands, and dense forests. The park is home to the Indian one-horned rhinoceros, wild elephants, swamp deer, and a variety of bird species. The thrilling jeep or elephant safari (optional) offers a close encounter with wildlife in their natural habitat. Return to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Day 03 : Kaziranga National Park – Shillong
After breakfast, check out and drive to Shillong, often referred to as the “Scotland of the East” for its rolling hills and pleasant climate. Enroute, stop at the scenic Umiam Lake, a vast reservoir surrounded by pine forests, perfect for photography and relaxation. Continue your drive to Shillong, check in to your hotel, and enjoy the calm atmosphere of this charming hill town. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 04 : Excursion to Cherrapunjee
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Cherrapunjee, one of the wettest places on earth, known for its dramatic landscapes and waterfalls. Enroute, visit Elephant Falls, a beautiful three-tiered waterfall, and Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint, offering breathtaking valley views. Explore the unique Garden of Caves, known for its rock formations, streams, and mini waterfalls. Continue to Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India, and Nohsngithiang Falls, a spectacular multi-stream waterfall. Also visit Mawsmai Cave, famous for its natural limestone formations. Return to Shillong by evening. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 05 : Shilong – Guwahati
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive back to Guwahati. Enjoy the scenic journey through hills and valleys before being dropped at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, concluding a memorable trip filled with wildlife adventures, scenic landscapes, and natural wonders.
