Day 01 : Chennai – Pondicherry
On arrival at Chennai Airport or Railway Station, you will be received and driven along the scenic East Coast Road to Pondicherry, a charming coastal town known for its French colonial heritage and relaxed atmosphere. On arrival begin exploring the town with a visit to the famous Manakula Vinayagar Temple, a historic temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Later enjoy a walk along the seaside boulevard at Promenade Beach and the nearby Rock Beach, known for its scenic coastal views. Continue to the French War Memorial, built in memory of soldiers who lost their lives during World War I, and the iconic Mahatma Gandhi Statue facing the sea. Later check in to the hotel. Day 02 : Pondicherry – Mahabalipuram
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Mahabalipuram, an ancient port city famous for its magnificent rock-cut temples and monuments dating back to the Pallava dynasty. On arrival explore the UNESCO-listed Shore Temple, beautifully located along the Bay of Bengal. Continue to visit the remarkable Pancha Rathas, a group of monolithic rock temples carved from a single stone. Later see the massive stone relief of Arjuna's Penance, also known as the Descent of the Ganges, depicting scenes from Hindu mythology. Conclude with a visit to the fascinating Krishna's Butter Ball, a huge natural rock balanced on a slope that has intrigued visitors for centuries. Check in to the hotel and relax. Day 03 : Mahabalipuram – Chennai
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Chennai along the beautiful East Coast Road. Enroute stop at Muttukadu Lake, a picturesque backwater destination known for boating and water sports. Continue to visit the famous Madras Crocodile Bank Trust, one of the largest reptile conservation centres in India where several species of crocodiles, alligators and reptiles are protected. On arrival at Chennai check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Chennai.
Day 04 : Chennai
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for a city tour of Chennai, the vibrant capital of Tamil Nadu known for its culture and heritage. Begin with darshan at the historic Kapaleeshwarar Temple in Mylapore and the popular Vadapalani Murugan Temple dedicated to Lord Murugan. Continue to the renowned Government Museum Chennai, one of the oldest museums in India with an impressive collection of art and archaeological artifacts. Later visit the famous Marina Beach, one of the longest urban beaches in the world. Also stop at the historic Santhome Cathedral Basilica, built over the tomb of St. Thomas the Apostle, and enjoy the serene atmosphere at Elliot's Beach in Besant Nagar. Later you will be dropped at Chennai Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
