Day 01 : Cochin – Alleppey
Upon arrival at Cochin, you will be warmly received and driven to Alleppey, fondly known as the “Venice of the East.” By noon, you will board a traditional Kerala houseboat and begin your serene cruise through the enchanting backwaters. As the boat gently glides along the palm-fringed canals and tranquil lagoons, you will witness a unique countryside life villagers rowing canoes, children playing along the banks, and lush paddy fields stretching endlessly. Freshly prepared Kerala meals will be served onboard as you relax and absorb the scenic beauty around you. As the sun sets, the houseboat anchors in a calm stretch of water, offering a peaceful evening amidst nature. Overnight stay will be on the houseboat in Alleppey.
Day 02 : Alleppey – Cochin
Wake up to the soothing sounds of the backwaters and enjoy a traditional breakfast onboard. After check-out, you will drive back to Cochin, a city that beautifully blends colonial heritage with modern vibrancy. Your sightseeing begins with the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets, massive cantilevered fishing nets that have become a symbol of the city’s maritime history. You will then visit St. Francis Church, one of the oldest European churches in India, known for its historical significance. Continue to Mattancherry Palace, also called the Dutch Palace, admired for its beautiful Kerala murals and royal artifacts. A visit to the historic Paradesi Synagogue in Jew Town offers insight into the region’s Jewish heritage. Later, enjoy a relaxed stroll along Marine Drive, a picturesque promenade overlooking the backwaters. After completing the sightseeing, you will be dropped at Cochin Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
